Fun Expo International and Amusement Showcase International Join Together for a Fantastic Show in 2009

This year’s first time collocation of Fun Expo International and Amusement Showcase International (ASI) reaped benefits for attendees and exhibitors. Held March 11-13 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the shows featured a full slate of educational programs, an active show floor and networking

events that brought attendees and exhibitors together.

ASI boasted 96 exhibitors, with 250 booths, while Fun Expo added 82 exhibitors, with 140 booths. Total attendance for ASI was 2,028, 511 of those attendees in the buyer category, and for Fun Expo was 1,015, 594 buyers. 109 attendees took part in the Fun Academy educational program and 134

attended a series of free seminars sponsored by ASI and Fun Expo.

In addition, an agreement with the International Pizza Expo allowed attendees from Pizza to attend ASI/Fun Expo for free. Approximately 500 Pizza attendees visited the show floor.

The 2009 Industry Gala was held at the Flamingo Hilton, the headquarters hotel for the shows. The intimate setting of the Flamingo Hilton pool deck provided for expanded networking opportunities. Firestone Financial sponsored the event.

The combined ASI/Fun Expo Treasure Hunt offered fabulous prizes to buyers who visited the booths of participating exhibitors, including iPods and DVD players. Participants flocked to the IALEI and AAMA booths for the drawings.

Awards were given to the Best Exhibit Design in three different sized categories (1-3 booths, 4-8 booths and more than 9 booths). They were judged on functionality, attractiveness, originality, technology and extra flair.

Winners this year were as follows:

MEI

Pathfinder
